Ravi Verma is a Public Speaker, Coach, Consultant and Blogger with a passion for helping teams
recapture the magic of making I.T. As the Founder and Org Whisperer at SmoothApps, Ravi blends ideas from the world of Organizational Development and I.T. to help develop leaders and self managing teams at all levels of an organization.
With 12+ years in the industry, Ravi has a proven track record of delivering multi-million dollar, enterprise class software in the networking, telecom, wireless and security software space. bunch of code. Being an INFP on the MBTI assessment, his fascination for patterns in life inspired him to create the “Framework for Accelerating Organizational Transformation” that helps teams overcome these obstacles.
Ravi believes that an Organization has a Soul comprised of the collective aspirations of its employees, customers, investors and communities. The role of an Org Whisperer, then, is to listen to the Organizations Soul and help it navigate around the obstacles to realize its aspirations. He is passionate about sharing his message through blogging, public speaking, coaching and consulting. Ravi has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from R.V.C.E., Bangalore . He also has a Certificate in Entrepreneurship from the Caruth Institute of Entrepreneurship at the SMU Cox School of Business and is excited about joining their MS in Entrepreneurship Program starting Jan 2011. Ravi received a Certificate in Organizational Development from DePaul University and Linkage Inc and is an MBTI Certified Practitioner, with a Certificate in Advanced Conflict Resolution from Kilmann Diagnostics. He is also a Licensed Facilitator for "Leading Bold Change" workshops based on the teachings of Harvard Business School Professor - John Kotter.
Ravi spends the bulk of his personal time watching hopelessly romantic chick-flicks with his high-school sweetheart (and now wife) – Aarti and their rambunctious Labrador Retrievers – Mishty and Scooby. He is also working on a long term project to make them care about the (mis)fortunes of his beloved Mavericks and Cowboys.
